Motorcycle MOT’s, North Yorkshire

AMR is an approved Department of Transport MOT testing facility. Our mechanics can test your motorcycle and advise on how to prepare for a pass.

Before presenting a bike for testing your bike will need to first go through a pre-check ensuring there are no non-regulation or illegal parts fitted that would result in an MOT failure. If you think your bike might have unapproved parts fitted, we recommend consulting the DVSA website before booking your MOT.

During the MOT we will inspect the following in accordance with the DVSA guidelines:

  • Registration plates

  • Brakes (condition, operation, performance and efficiency)

  • Steering (mechanical condition of your forks, handlebars, yokes and wheel alignment),

  • Lamps, reflectors and electrical equipment (Headlamp, position lamps, stop lamps, direction indicators, rear registration plate lamp, rear reflector and direction indicator)

  • Wheels, tyres and suspension (Wheel bearing, wheel and tyre, and suspension - including springs, shock absorbers, and suspension arms and joints)

  • Structure and attachments (Frame and attachments including exhaust system and fuel system, and seat and riding controls)

  • Horn and exhaust noise

If your bike is due for an MOT call us today to book or complete the contact form below and we will be in touch to confirm your booking.
